SILK
Caring for your silk bed linens from PARA DECOR is essential to maintaining their luxurious feel and longevity. Here are some key tips to keep your silk looking and feeling fantastic:
**Wash by Hand or Use a Delicate Cycle:**
Hand washing in cold water with a gentle detergent is the best method. If you use a washing machine, select the delicate cycle and place the silk linens in a mesh laundry bag to protect them from snagging or rough contact.
**Avoid Harsh Detergents:**
Use a mild detergent that is specifically designed for silk or delicate fabrics. Steer clear of bleach or fabric softeners as they can damage the fibers.
**Dry Naturally:**
After washing, do not wring out your silk linens. Instead, press out excess water by gently pressing with a clean, dry towel. Hang them to dry out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and degradation of the silk fibers.
**Iron Carefully:**
If ironing is needed, do it while the silk is still slightly damp. Always use the lowest heat setting and iron on the reverse side to avoid shining up the fabric. It's also a good idea to place a cotton cloth between the silk and the iron.
By following these simple care instructions, you can keep your PARA DECOR silk bed linens looking exquisite and feeling comfortable for years to come. Enjoy the luxurious touch of silk and sleep well knowing your linens are well taken care of!
COTTON or TENCEL
Here’s an expanded guide on the best practices for washing, drying, ironing, and storing your sheets to ensure they remain in excellent condition:
**Washing:**
When it comes to washing your sheets, it’s important to choose a mild detergent that is gentle on the fabric. You should wash them in either cold or warm water not more 30-40 °C, using a gentle cycle to help prevent any shrinking that may occur. Additionally, always make sure to wash similar colors together in order to avoid any potential dye transfer that could affect the appearance of your sheets.
**Drying:**
For drying your sheets, it’s advisable to use a tumble dryer set to a low heat setting. This will help minimize any heat damage that could occur during the drying process. To further reduce wrinkles, consider removing the sheets from the dryer while they are still slightly damp. Alternatively, for a fresh and natural scent, you can line dry your sheets outdoors when possible.
**Ironing:**
To achieve the best results when ironing your sheets, it is recommended to iron them while they are still a bit damp. This makes it easier to remove any creases. Set your iron to a medium to high heat setting, and be sure to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to protect the surface.
**Storing:**
When it comes to storing your sheets, it’s best to keep them in a cool and dry place to prevent any moisture buildup. To keep them protected from dust and to maintain their freshness, consider using a breathable cotton bag for storage. This will help ensure that your sheets remain in great condition for your next use.
